The Snowbelt Starts at Our Base

Lake County, Geauga County, and the east side of Cuyahoga are the Lake Erie snowbelt. A single November band can drop a foot in Chardon and an inch in Beachwood. Any install here has to assume wind, wet snow, and a freeze-thaw cycle that starts before Thanksgiving.

What Fails on a DIY House

Slack cord catches wind and lifts off hooks. Thin mini-light wire ices and sags. Box-store plugs sit in snow and trip the outlet. Staples pull out of fascia in a thaw. Every one of those is an attachment or a slack problem, not a bulb problem.

What a Professional Install Does Differently

Cord is cut to your roofline, so there's no slack to catch wind. Every bulb is on a clip that grips the gutter lip or shingle edge. Connections are made off the ground and out of the drift line. The timer sits in a weatherproof housing. Commercial C9 LEDs are rated for the cold and draw so little power that ice on the bulb doesn't matter.

What Weather Does to the Schedule

Light rain, we install. Ice, high wind, or heavy snow, we don't; we reschedule at no charge, usually within the week and always before December 10, and your deposit stays on your date. The same rule applies to service calls, which is why our fix window says weather permitting.
