Canterbury on the Lakes is about 200 custom homes on winding streets and cul-de-sacs around small lakes in southeastern Hudson, south of East Streetsboro Street between Stow and Stone Roads. It was built out over three decades, from 1989 to 2019, by builders including David Moore, Hershberger, Ken Payne, Larry Folta, and Prestige Homes, and the newer Estates section adds a single street of homes around fountained ponds.

How We Light Homes in Canterbury on the Lakes
Most Canterbury lots run close to two acres, and homes range from about 3,800 to well over 10,000 square feet, so the front of the house is often a long way from the road. That changes the design: thin accents disappear at that distance, so we put the C9s where they build the shape of the house, along every main roofline, up the gables, and around the entry and side-load or front garages. Custom builds mean rooflines with several peaks and hips, and every run is cut to your roof, so nothing sags across a hip. Two-story peaks are measured at the site walk.

What It Costs
$1,000 season minimum. Every home is quoted individually.
Terms run 2, 3, or 5 seasons. The per-season price steps down on the longer terms, and every season's price is written into the agreement. A 50% deposit holds your date; the balance is due at install.
Takedowns happen in January, weather permitting. If anything goes out during the season, text a photo, hear back the same day, and anything that's our fault is fixed within 48–72 hours, weather permitting, at no charge. Canterbury on the Lakes Questions
My house sits far back from the road. Will lights even show?
Yes, if they follow the big lines of the house. A full roofline and gable outline in warm white carries a long way. Small accents don't, so we don't sell them for a deep setback.
Can you light a house with lots of peaks and hips?
Yes. Each run is cut to the section of roof it sits on, so the lines stay tight at every hip and valley. The site walk is where we map them.
Can you light the side facing the pond?
We can quote it. On a lot where the back of the house faces the water, the rear roofline is often what you see most from inside, so it's worth pricing.
